Mikhail Prokhorov, Russia's richest man and soon-to-be owner of the New Jersey Nets, is financing the electric budget car project. Details and first images of the vehicle after the jump.
Slon.ru, an online newspaper, received the image of Prokhorov's car from the car's developer Yarovit, which was developing the electric vehicle for over two years before Mikhail Prokhorov agreed to finance it. According to Yarovit, Russia's first electric car, Eco, will be small (about the size of the Mini Cooper) and will cost approximately $13,000, far more than the competitors.
However, according to the early sketches, Eco will offer some innovative perks, such as a remote key which will also function as a cellular phone, a navigation system and a CD-DVD player.
